Lenka Torgersen (1975) After finishing her studies at the Conservatory in Pilsen and Academy of Music Arts in Prague in the class of Professor Vaclav Snitil, she began to develop her interest for interpretation of Early music on the baroque violin, leading to studies with Chiara Banchini at Schola Cantorum Basiliensis in 1999 to 2003. Today she is the principal violin in Collegium Marianum Prague and La Cetra Barockorchester Basel and cooperates with ensembles as Ensemble 415, Freitagsakademie Bern, Collegium 1704, Musica Florea Prague and others. She has worked with leading personalities of Early music like Ch. Banchini, G. Leonhard, R. Jacobs, A. Marcon, J. Savall, A. Parrot, A. Cremonesi. Since 2008 has she been teaching baroque violin and chamber music at Tynska Skola in cooperation with Charles University in Prague. Lenka Torgersen appears on labels like Supraphon, Accent, Pan Classics, Harmonia Mundi, Zig Zag Territoires.
