The EPOS-TRIO was founded in 1978 and from the beginning the trio had comprehensive succesful tours. The ensemble has studied with famous music personalities as Hans Leygraf, Norbert Brainin, Amadeo Baldovino, Menahem Pressler and Aldo Parisot. Already after some years activity the trio received the cultural prize of Östergötland with the motivation: "For musicality, technical skill and variety, which gives the piano trio international standard". Except for Sweden the EPOS-TRIO has toured Finland, Norway, Denmark, Germany, Austria, Switzerland, France, Italy, Greece, Roumania, Kenya, Canada and Japan. The trio recorded for Sveriges Radio, Süddeutsche Rundfunk, Südwestfunk, Radio Athens, Radio and TV Bucharest, Radio Vancouver and CBC Canada. The large repertoire of the trio covers music from Haydn until our days. Some composers wrote music for the EPOS-TRIO. Since two of the members are citizens of Berlin the trio is since 1993 called EPOS TRIO-BERLIN.
